Tongji Medical College has nothing to do with Tongji University. However, Tongji Medical College and Tongji University are of the same ancestry in history, and their predecessors were both German medical schools. 1952, the national department was overhauled, and Tongji Medical College was moved to Wuhan and established as Tongji Medical University. In 2000, it merged with Huazhong University of Science and Technology to form Tongji Medical College, which is Tongji Medical College.

At present, Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology has the same predecessor as Tongji University in Shanghai, namely Shanghai Devon Medical Hall, which was founded in 1907 and later renamed Tongji Devon Medical Hall. 19 12 is also called Tongji German Medical College together with Tongji German Medical College. Decades later, it developed into a well-known university in China, famous for its five colleges: science and engineering, medicine, arts and sciences, and law. Medicine is its master's discipline.
