Tianjin Vocational College generally refers to Tianjin Vocal Music College. Tianjin Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary institution of higher learning affiliated to Tianjin. Selected as a high-level vocational school with China characteristics and a professional construction plan. It is a national demonstration vocational college and a pilot unit of modern apprenticeship system.

The school was founded in 1978, formerly known as the Second Branch of Nankai University and the Chemical Engineering Branch of Tianjin University, and was transformed into Tianjin Vocational University in 1982. In 2006, it was identified by the Ministry of Education as one of the first batch of 28 "National Demonstration Higher Vocational College Construction Plan" project construction units.

Very few provinces have passed CET-5 and CET-6, and only Liaoning Province has scored seven subjects, including mathematics, foreign languages, computer, professional comprehensive courses (3 subjects) and 1 skill assessment.
