Peking University Sports Medicine Research Institute is the first sports medicine research institute in China. It was established in the Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University on June 1959. After nearly 50 years' efforts, the institute has developed into a comprehensive sports medicine research institute covering four majors: sports trauma, sports rehabilitation, sports nutrition and medical supervision, and integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and off-team service. It has many well-known experts in China, such as Qu Mianyu, Tian Dexiang, Austria, etc., with strong technical force and complete academic echelon, providing high-quality medical services and security for athletes at all levels, various sports events and national fitness.
