On the evening of September 1, 2009, Fujian Medical University's "I Love My Motherland" keynote speech contest was held in the new campus. League branch secretaries of colleges and affiliated hospitals participated in the contest and served as judges. Nearly 200 students watched the game.

In the contest, 17 contestants from various colleges were in high spirits, showing the youthful charm of contemporary college students in studying and practicing Scientific Outlook on Development, serving the public and serving the construction of "two pioneering areas" in Haixi. They show the inheritance and development of patriotism of contemporary young students from many angles in a unique way. The delegation of 2006 clinical medical students from the First Clinical Medical College gave a speech entitled "Red Flag Fluttering" and won the "Excellence Award" in the competition.

After the game, Secretary Huang of the Youth League Committee of the school affirmed the performance of the players and gave guidance.
