Shandong Jianzhu University was formerly known as Jinan Urban Construction School founded by the former Ministry of Construction 1956, and later renamed Shandong Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The old campus of the school is located at No.47 Heping Road, north of the junction of Shanshi East Road and Heping Road. The west gate of the old school is located in the southeast corner of jiefang bridge intersection.
