There are eight concrete steps to achieve this Tao. In this regard, "University" wrote: Things are known later, knowing later, sincerity later, honesty later, mind later and body later, body later and family later, family later and country later, country later and the world is peaceful.

Knowledge, sincerity, integrity, physical cultivation, family harmony, national governance, world peace and physical cultivation are the most fundamental and decisive steps. The first four items are the ways of self-cultivation, and the last three items are the inevitable effects of self-cultivation. Starting from the "University", "self-cultivation, keeping the family in order, governing the country and leveling the world" has become a Confucian classic.
