On the basis of long-term friendly cooperation with domestic institutions of higher learning, the University of Hong Kong consulted various institutions of higher learning.

Every year, colleges and universities recommend full-time second-year or third-year undergraduates to take courses such as Faculty of Arts, School of Economics, School of Finance and Business Administration, School of Engineering, School of Science or School of Social Sciences of the University of Hong Kong. Exchange students will study in the University of Hong Kong for one or two semesters, and then return to their original school to continue their studies.
