According to the latest data, there are two universities in Xinjiang * * 2 1 1, namely Shihezi University and Xinjiang University.

Shihezi University, located in Shihezi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, was founded in Tianshui, Gansu by Pan, then the first health minister of the Logistics Department of Xinjiang Military Region. In 2008, it was selected as "2 1 1 project" national key construction university.

Xinjiang University, referred to as "Xinda", is located in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is a national "double first-class" world-class university, a comprehensive national key university, a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and a national "2 1 1 project" key university.
