Singularity University, located in the center of Silicon Valley in California, aims to solve "the major challenges facing mankind". Its research fields are synthetic biology, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence, and it is an institution of higher learning dedicated to training future scientists. Every year, more than 4,000 people from 120 countries apply, and the admission rate is only 2%. The school adopts a unique 9-week academic system. Although the academic system is short, the tuition fee is as high as $25,000. On the basis of soliciting the opinions of Nobel Prize winners and other world-class scholars, the school plans to offer 10 courses in futurology, network and computer, biotechnology and bioinformatics, nanotechnology, medicine and neuroscience, artificial intelligence, energy, aerospace and natural science, law and ethics, finance and other fields.
