1, school scale: Xiamen university was founded in 192 1 by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a patriotic overseas Chinese leader. It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in the history of modern education in China, and it is also one of the earliest universities in China to recruit graduate students. Xiamen University Malaysian Branch was established, becoming the first university in China to build an independent campus overseas. Its early buildings were selected as national key cultural relics protection units and "the first batch of China 20th century architectural heritage". Jimei University was founded in 19 18 by Mr. Chen Jiageng, and in 1920 by the Department of Fisheries and Business of Jimei School. 1994 Jimei Normal University, Jimei Navigation College, Jimei Finance and Economics College, Xiamen Fisheries College and Fujian Institute of Physical Education merged to form Jimei University.

2. Faculty: Jimei University has about 1500 full-time teachers and more than 29,400 students, including more than 26,400 full-time undergraduates, more than 2,600 graduate students and nearly 200 international students. Xiamen University has nearly 3,000 full-time teachers and more than 45,000 students, including 2 1.00 undergraduates, 0/.90 postgraduates and 5,000 doctoral students. Both are better than Xiamen University.
