Chang 'an University, a university directly under the Ministry of Education, is the first batch of national key universities in "2 1 1 Project", the national "985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform" and the national "double-class" university.
At present, there are 84 undergraduate majors, of which 50 majors have been selected as national and provincial first-class undergraduate majors in the "Double Hundred Thousand Plan", and 23 majors have passed the national engineering education certification. The school ranks among the top 100 universities in China, and the discipline of civil engineering and transportation ranks 30th in American News Global University. It is known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" for the cultivation of highway transportation talents and the "golden business card" for scientific and technological innovation.
At present, there are 4 academicians of China Academy of Sciences, China Academy of Engineering and Singapore Academy of Engineering, more than 400 professors and associate professors 1056, 359 doctoral supervisors and master supervisors1056. More than 0/00 outstanding talents/kloc who undertake national key R&D plans and major national engineering projects. There are more than 25,000 full-time undergraduates in China, including more than 25,000 doctoral and master students 1000 and more than 600 international students 1600.
1997 became the first batch of "2 1 1 project" key construction universities. In 2000, three universities merged to form Chang 'an University, which opened a new chapter in the school's leap-forward development.
Since 2005, the Ministry of Education has successively signed agreements with the Ministry of Communications (now the Ministry of Transport), the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Land and Resources (now the Ministry of Natural Resources) and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development to jointly build Chang 'an University, and the pattern of "four departments and one province" has been formally formed.
20 1 1 selected as the national "985 innovation platform for superior disciplines" to build universities. 20 17 was selected as a national "double-class" construction university, stepping into a new era and embarking on a new journey.
