Xidian university Institute of Intelligent Control and Image Engineering was established in 2003, mainly studying major engineering and theoretical frontier topics in the field of electronic information technology. The subject direction is digital image processing, network multimedia, small and medium-sized robot system, development and research of video-based DSP and ARM board. Now there are three basic laboratories: image engineering, hardware and network multimedia, which basically form a trinity of basic research, application development and high-tech industrialization, and promote each other.

Since 2008, ASD Institute has undertaken many cooperative projects, and its scientific research achievements have won many awards. * * * Published more than one academic monograph 10; Published more than 200 academic papers.

At present, ASD studies all 2 professors and 4 associate professors. By 20 13, ASD has three master disciplines, namely pattern recognition and intelligent system, detection technology and automation device, control theory and control engineering, and two doctoral disciplines, namely circuit and system, measurement technology and instrument, forming a complete discipline system. Over the years, the institute has trained more than 80 master's and doctoral students, and by 20 13, there were nearly 50 master's and doctoral students, forming a research team with innovation and fighting spirit.

The Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology (referred to as the Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology) is the research base of "Advanced Electronic and Mechanical Engineering" 21project in xidian university and the key laboratory of "Structural Design of Electronic Equipment" in the Ministry of Education. It is also the supporting unit of the first-class discipline of mechanical engineering in xidian university, and has a postdoctoral research mobile station.

The Institute of Electromechanical Engineering has been engaged in scientific research and personnel training in the field of electronic and mechanical engineering for a long time, and has formed characteristic research directions such as electromechanical coupling theory and method of electronic equipment, precision control theory and method, and modern design theory and method. There are 50 researchers, including doctoral supervisor 10, professor 18 and doctor 30.

Since 2008, the Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has undertaken more than 60 scientific research projects, including 973 major basic research projects, 863 national high-tech research and development plans, key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, final assembly pre-research, national defense basic research, etc., with a total research funding of more than 72 million yuan. 5 invention patents and 6 software copyrights/kloc-0. In recent ten years, it has won three second prizes for national scientific and technological progress and three first prizes for provincial and ministerial science and technology.

Since the establishment of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, more than 20 monographs and teaching materials have been published. Since 2008, more than 260 papers have been published in foreign academic journals such as IEEE Transactions, ASME and Elsevier, and domestic high-level journals such as Journal of Mechanical Engineering, acta automatica sinica and Journal of Mechanics. SCI and EI collected more than 300 papers respectively.

The School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has trained 76 doctors and more than 400 masters. L papers were rated as national 100 excellent doctoral dissertations, l papers were nominated as national 100 excellent doctoral dissertations, 2 won Humboldt scholarships, and 2 were rated as outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education in the new century.

The School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has established extensive cooperation and exchange relations with many universities and research institutions at home and abroad.
