1 Shanghai Children's Medical Center is a cooperative project between Shanghai Municipal People's Government and American Hope Project, which was established by Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Second Medical University. Shanghai Children's Medical Center, located in Dongfang Road, Pudong, is a pediatric hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research and teaching, covering an area of 100 mu, with a total construction area of over 50,000 square meters and 358 approved beds. It has first-class building automation equipment and complete medical security facilities, and is responsible for the medical work of sick children in Shanghai and the whole country and children of foreigners coming to China. No.2 Shanghai Children's Hospital (Shanghai Children's Hospital), formerly known as "Difficult Children's Hospital", was founded in 1937 and 1954 and was renamed Shanghai Children's Hospital after merging with Shanghai Children's Health Hospital. In 2003, it became the Shanghai Children's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University. It has a number of key disciplines and is a third-class first-class hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, health care and rehabilitation. Shanghai Children's Hospital has 300 beds, including pediatrics (newborn, respiratory, digestive, blood, kidney, nerve, endocrinology, cardiovascular medicine, infection), pediatrics (general surgery, neonatal surgery, urology, orthopedics, thoracic and cardiac surgery, neurosurgery), pathology, laboratory, imaging, anesthesiology, traditional Chinese medicine, ENT and dermatology. Shanghai Children's Hospital has an influential Shanghai Institute of Medical Genetics at home and abroad. There are children's health care institutions, Shanghai Children's Health Care Institute and Children's Nutrition Laboratory in the city. In recent years, with the development of medical care, Shanghai Children's Emergency Center, Special Needs Medical Center, Shanghai Children's Rehabilitation Center and Shanghai Children's Hearing Impairment Monitoring and Rehabilitation Center have been established one after another.
