Engineering mathematics is the general name of several kinds of mathematics. After studying advanced mathematics, engineering freshmen should learn mathematics such as integral transformation, complex variable function, linear algebra, probability theory and field theory according to their own majors, which belongs to engineering mathematics.

Advanced mathematics is the foundation. Learning other mathematics requires knowledge of advanced mathematics, such as integral and calculus.

After learning advanced mathematics, other self-study is ok, except linear algebra, which is not easy to understand.
