1, Chongqing University
Founded in 1929, the school put forward the vision of building a "comprehensive and profound university" and developed into a comprehensive university with complete disciplines of arts, science, business and forensic medicine in the 1940s. 1952 after the adjustment of the national departments, it has become a multidisciplinary university with engineering as the mainstay. 1960 was identified as a national key university.
After the reform and opening up, the school has undergone comprehensive restoration, adjustment and reform and construction, and has become a work-oriented and multidisciplinary university with coordinated development.
2. Chongqing Medical University
The school was founded in 1956, and moved to Chongqing from Shanghai First Medical College (now Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University). Its predecessor was Chongqing Medical College, and 1985 was renamed Chongqing Medical University.
