University of Tsukuba (Japanese: つくばだぃがく, English: University of Tsukuba) was established in 1973, as an experimental school of a new university in the process of university reform triggered by university competition in the 1960s.
The predecessor of New Tokyo University of Education is Tokyo Normal College, Tokyo University of Arts and Sciences, Tokyo Institute of Agricultural Education, Tokyo Institute of Physical Education, etc. The current president is Kyosuke Nagata.
Compared with those established universities with a long history and rich academic achievements, which have trained countless scholars, dignitaries and world-renowned, it is famous because it conforms to the trend of world scientific and technological development and stands at the forefront of Japanese university reform, becoming the first new international national university in China.
The school mainly includes basic science group, culture and biology group, management and engineering group and other departments.
