I. Undergraduate academic system
There are four academic systems for undergraduate majors in Australian universities: three years, four years, five years and six years. Most Australian undergraduate majors have a three-year academic system, including accounting, economics, media, linguistics, computer and other majors. Four-year undergraduate majors include psychology, law, engineering and education. Five-year undergraduate majors include dentistry and veterinary medicine, and clinical medicine lasts for six years. In order to make students adapt to society earlier, some universities in Australia offer two-year undergraduate majors.
Second, the undergraduate requirements
Education: To apply for an undergraduate degree in an Australian university, students should at least graduate from a domestic high school or junior college, and it is best to attend the number one school in China.
Age: the age of students applying for undergraduate courses should be in line with the actual situation, neither too old nor too young. When they graduate, they must be over 18 years old and under 30 years old before they can apply. Students who are over-aged or have graduated for too long are invalid.
Language: directly applying for undergraduate courses in Australian universities requires high language requirements. It is usually required that IELTS score is above 6.5, or TOEFL score is above 80, which is a requirement that students must meet. Students who fail to achieve IELTS scores can take language classes in Australia for a few weeks first.
Results: If the students who apply for the college entrance examination have no college entrance examination results, they are required to reach 70-85 points in high school. Those who have obtained the results of the college entrance examination can directly apply for the Eighth University of Australia, those who have obtained the second line can apply for the Eighth University of Australia, and those who have not achieved satisfactory results in the college entrance examination can apply for the Australian undergraduate course through their usual grades.
Major: For junior college students who want to study in Australia, if they continue to study related majors, they only need to study in Australia for 1-2 years to get their undergraduate degree, while students who want to change their major need to study in Australia for 2-3 years to graduate.
Funding: The funding requirements for studying in Australia are much lower than those in other English-speaking countries, but there must be enough funds to pay for the study, usually about 600,000 yuan.
