Pennsylvania State University (PSU), founded in 1855, is a public research university with its main campus in Colicci, Pennsylvania, USA, and 23 campuses. The school is a member of the top ten leagues and associations of American universities and is known as the "public Ivy League".
Pennsylvania State University is a multi-campus comprehensive research-oriented public university, providing teaching services and research facilities for students from Pennsylvania, the United States and even the world. The school aims at education, scientific research and social service, and devotes itself to undergraduate teaching, postgraduate education, professional training and adult education through traditional teaching and online correspondence teaching.
By relaxing the requirements for the age, religion, cultural background and ethnic background of students and teachers, the school has enhanced the publicity and extensiveness of the school curriculum. The teaching, scientific research, funds and activities of the school are aimed at promoting the development of world economy, human progress and mutual understanding between cultures, and have developed in depth in science, humanities and art.
The last goal of the school, scientific research, has developed relatively slowly. From 1930 s to 1950 s, engineering gradually surpassed agronomy and became the first subject in the school. Due to the development of the project, various experimental facilities began to be complete. Eventually, the school became a comprehensive college with strong scientific research strength. 1953, under the leadership of Milton Eisenhower, then president, the school was officially renamed Pennsylvania State University.
After Walker, the school continued to develop. From 65438 to 0989, Penn Institute of Technology was merged by Penn State University, which further strengthened the engineering strength of Penn State University. 1997, Dickinson Law School also joined Penn State University as a college.
