Ceng Yixin's academic achievements.
Academician Zeng's work mainly focuses on the pathogenesis of malignant tumor, and has made outstanding achievements in the genetic susceptibility of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and signal transduction of tumor suppressor genes, which provides a new understanding for clarifying the pathogenesis of malignant tumor. At the same time, important achievements have been made in the research of anticancer drugs, and many papers have been published in journal of international oncology, and international patents have been obtained. In particular, the research results on the genetic susceptibility of nasopharyngeal carcinoma are important achievements in the genome research of major and complex diseases in China, and the news released by Nature Publishing Group is called a breakthrough in nasopharyngeal carcinoma research. This research achievement has not only been recognized by international academic circles, but also related papers have been published in the international authoritative magazine Nature Genetics in August 2002 and Cancer Research in June 5438+ 10, 2006, and have been rated as the top ten medical and health news in China in 2002 and the top ten scientific and technological progress in China universities in 2002. Molecular Genetics of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, which he presided over, also won the first prize of Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education in 2002, the first prize of Guangdong Science and Technology in 2003, the first prize of China Medical Award in 2003 and the second prize of National Natural Science Award in 2005. Up to now, Academician Zeng has published 133 papers in academic journals, including 57 papers in SCI journals, and these papers have been cited by SCI journals 1032 times.

From 65438 to 0997, Academician Zeng was supported by the National Outstanding Youth Fund and nine national scientific research projects, including 863 and 973. Because of his outstanding achievements in scientific research and teaching, he was named the first batch of national candidates for the "100 million talents project in the new century", the "outstanding backbone teachers in national colleges and universities" by the Ministry of Education, the "young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions" by the Ministry of Health, and the special allowance expert by the State Council.

At the opening ceremony of the 4th China-Sweden Medical Forum held recently by the Nobel Forum of Karolinska Medical College in Sweden, Harriet Wallberg-Henriksson, Dean of Karolinska Medical College, presented a big silver medal to Professor Zeng Yixin, academician of China Academy of Sciences and director of the Cancer Center of Sun Yat-sen University, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the medical exchange between China and Sweden. This is also the first big silver medal awarded by Karolinska Medical College in its 200th anniversary. China Minister of Health Zhu Chen attended the ceremony. 20 10,10/0 On the morning of 5 October, Harriet Wallberg-Henriksson, Dean of Karolinska Medical College, presented a big silver medal to Academician Zeng Yixin in recognition of his contribution to China and Sweden.

This is also the first big silver medal awarded by Karolinska Medical College. It is understood that medals are divided into three categories: gold medal, big silver medal and silver medal, which are mainly used to reward Swedish domestic and international people who have contributed to the development of school medicine.

It is understood that Karolinska Medical College is the largest medical school in Europe and the awarding unit of the Nobel Prize in Medicine. Five professors have won the Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology. It was at the Nobel Forum of the College that the Nobel Prize Committee for Medicine announced the winner of the 20 10 annual prize in medicine or physiology, Professor robert edwards, a British physiologist, at 5 pm on10.

Karolinska Medical College attaches great importance to the communication between China and Sweden. In 2003, we signed a cooperation agreement with Sun Yat-sen University to jointly train talents, and established a cooperative laboratory in CUHK Cancer Center, where scientists from both sides held regular academic meetings.
