Xi University of Architecture and Technology is not a 2 1 1 school. There are 7 2 1 1 schools and 3 985 tiger schools in Shaanxi province, among which 7 2 1 1 institutions are Northwest University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Northwest A&F University, xidian university, xi Jiaotong University, Chang 'an University and Shaanxi Normal University, and 3 985 institutions are Xi Jiaotong University and Northwestern Polytechnical University.

Material supplement: Xi 'an University of Architecture and Technology, referred to as Anjianda for short, was jointly founded by Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, People's Republic of China (PRC), Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Ministry of Education. It is one of the "Old Eight Schools of Architecture" in China, a key university directly under the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, a national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest" and a national "Key Discipline Project with Characteristics".

Shaanxi Province is a provincial-level high-level university. The first batch of authorized units for doctor's degree, master's degree and bachelor's degree in China were selected into the11plan, the first batch of national outstanding engineer education and training plan, the national international scientific and technological cooperation base, the national innovative engineering master's degree education institution, and the national postgraduate plan for high-level universities. It is a university characterized by civil engineering, environmental municipal administration, material management and other related disciplines, with engineering technology as the main body and coordinated development of multiple disciplines.

The school can be traced back to Beiyang University as early as 1895. 1956 When the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted for the third time, the school was formed by the merger of departments (branches) of architecture, civil engineering and municipal engineering of Northeast Institute of Technology, Northwest Institute of Technology, Qingdao Institute of Technology and Sunan Institute of Technology, and was named Xi 'an Institute of Architecture and Engineering. 1959 and 1963 were renamed Xi 'an Institute of Metallurgy and Xi 'an Institute of Metallurgy and Architecture. 1994 in March, with the approval of the former State Education Commission, it was renamed as Xi University of Architecture and Technology. The graduate school was established on 20 1 1.
