This major aims to cultivate basic English skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation, and has strong English application ability. This major aims to set up two teaching modules: literature, culture and translation, language, communication and ESP. Offering basic English, reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing, listening, speaking, English-speaking countries, advanced English, British and American literature, linguistics, translation theory and practice, English-Chinese interpretation, graduation thesis writing, appreciation of British and American masterpieces, advanced film appreciation, foreign language teaching methods, business English, foreign trade English, foreign affairs English, tourism English, impromptu translation, English speech and English debate.

British-Japanese direction

This major aims at cultivating compound applied talents in English, Japanese and foreign languages. Focus on cultivating students' solid language skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating in English and Japanese. While strengthening students' English and Japanese language ability, students can acquire extensive cultural knowledge and improve their personal quality through the foreign languages they have learned. This major also focuses on cultivating students' independent thinking ability and independent innovation ability, so that students can skillfully use English and Japanese in translation, teaching, management and scientific research in foreign affairs, education, economy and trade, culture, science and technology, tourism and military affairs. The main courses of language and literature are: basic Japanese, grammar, conversation, listening, writing, second foreign language (English), intermediate Japanese, extensive Japanese reading, general situation of Japan, advanced audio-visual and advanced Japanese, translation theory and skills, Japanese literature history, ancient Japanese grammar, and selected readings of modern Japanese literature.

The main professional courses of business Japanese are: basic Japanese, grammar, conversation, listening, writing, second foreign language (English), intermediate Japanese, extensive Japanese reading, general situation of Japan, advanced audio-visual, comprehensive business Japanese, Japanese business etiquette and culture, Japanese international trade practice, business Japanese conversation, Japanese business negotiation and skills, and business Japanese correspondence writing.

German major

This major trains basic German skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation, and has strong German application ability. The main professional courses offered are: Basic German, Listening, Conversation, Phonetics, Grammar, Rhetoric, Reading, Writing, Translation Theory and Skills, Second Foreign Language (English), German Literature, General Situation of Germany, Selected Reading of Newspapers, Business German, etc. This major is a new direction and the only Russian undergraduate major in Jiangxi Province at present. This direction focuses on cultivating students' comprehensive quality, so that students can firmly grasp the basic knowledge of Russian listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation, have a broad understanding of the cultural conditions of Russian-speaking countries, have strong language application ability and social practice ability, and can skillfully use Russian in translation, teaching, scientific research and management in academic, foreign affairs, education, culture, economy and trade, science and technology, tourism, military and other departments.
