Tarim University, referred to as "Ta Da" for short, was founded in June 1958, when it was named "Tarim River Agricultural University". 1960, with the support of Wang Zhen, then Minister of State Farming, the school was expanded and renamed as "Tarim Agricultural University". 1977 college entrance examination resumed in autumn, directly under the Ministry of Agriculture of Tarim University.
He was awarded a master's degree in 2003. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed "Tarim University", which was jointly established by the Central Committee and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Included in the national "20 1 1 Plan" and "National Model University for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform", it is a counterpart supporting university of China Agricultural University, beijing university of chemical technology and other national key universities.
