Sun Jinan, 1928, from Wuhu, Anhui. 1952 graduated from the art department of Shandong Normal University, stayed there to teach, and further studied at Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He has served as professor and dean of Shandong Normal University and Shandong Art Institute, and vice chairman of Shandong Federation of Literary and Art Circles. At present, he is a member of the Art Education Committee of the Ministry of Education, a member of the Music Education Committee of the Chinese Music Association, the vice president of the China Music History Society, and a special researcher at the Hongyi Master Research Center of Hangzhou Normal University. Engaged in music education for life, focusing on the teaching and research of modern music history in China. His published works include solo "University, My Cradle", paper "Xian Xinghai's Music Education Thought", "Small Music Education View" and "Li Shutong's Contribution to China's Modern Music Enlightenment Education". Monographs: General History of China Music (Editor-in-Chief), Li Jinhui Review, Chronology of Modern Music Education in China, Contemporary China Music (Education Part), etc. 1993 was commended by the State Council as "outstanding contributor to the development of art education" and enjoyed special government allowance.
