Universities and colleges
College is the basic component of higher education. Generally, those who recruit high school graduates or equivalent educational level will study for three years (the study period of part-time college depends on the situation).
College education is mainly divided into full-time colleges and part-time colleges. Full-time colleges and universities are generally admitted by the national unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities, and they study at school all day. Part-time colleges are usually adult education, online education, open education and higher education self-study exams.
As of September 30th, 20021year, there were 30 12 universities in China, including 2756 ordinary universities (undergraduate 1.270, specialist 1.486) and 256 adult universities.
By May 3, 2022, there will be 30 13 colleges and universities in China, including 2,759 colleges and universities, including 1270 undergraduate colleges and 1489 higher vocational colleges. There are 254 adult colleges and universities.
Knowledge expansion:
State-owned universities are universities funded by the national government or local governments, which is what we usually call public government-run universities, rather than universities sponsored by private bosses and social enterprises.
Literally, private universities are universities sponsored by enterprises, social organizations and individual citizens (private bosses). Usually a university sponsored by a non-state government. Without government financial support, the school is responsible for its own profits and losses.
Just like the private universities mentioned above, without the support of state funds, tuition fees are generally expensive, generally 1-20000. Even if the name is changed, the second batch of enrollment will not reduce tuition fees; In state-owned universities, with the support of state financial funds, the annual tuition fee is usually around 5,000 yuan, which is acceptable to most families.
I have to admit that under the same conditions, people always think that private universities are not as good as public universities. After all, Tsinghua, Peking University, the National People's Congress and Jiaotong University, which people are familiar with, are all public. Otherwise, there will be no difference between famous universities and state-owned universities. So many private independent colleges have changed their names before, and they don't look like private universities.
