Kara is a Dog is a dramatic literary film directed by Lv Xuechang and starring Ge You, Ding Jiali and Li Bin. The film focuses on the story of an ordinary family looking for the lost pet dog Carla, which reflects a series of social problems such as the living conditions of ordinary people and complicated interpersonal relationships in the social environment of China, and thus leads to a wide range of social discussions. The film premiered on February 22nd, 2003, and won the Best Feature Film Award at the 10 Beijing University Student Film Festival and the Best Film Award at the 4th Chinese Film Media Award.
