According to official website of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and co-founded with Shanghai. Founded on 1896, 1949 was renamed as Shanghai Jiaotong University. By the end of 2022, there are three campuses and 23 colleges in Minhang, Xuhui and Huangpu.
