The Graduate School of South China Agricultural University is directly affiliated to South China Agricultural University and located in Tianhe District, Guangzhou. The postgraduate education of South China Agricultural University can be traced back to 1935, and it is the earliest school in China to recruit agricultural postgraduate students. The first master of agriculture graduated from1937,21master graduated from 1949 * *.

From 1953 to 1963 after liberation, South China Agricultural College has trained 8/kloc-0 graduate students and 8 associate doctoral students. South China Agricultural University 1978 resumed postgraduate enrollment. After China 198 1 implemented the degree system, our school became the first batch of master's degree awarding units approved by198/the State Council and the second batch of doctoral degree awarding units approved by 1984.

South China Agricultural University is a national "double-class" university and a national key university. It is a provincial university jointly established by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

By August 2022, the school had a total land area of 826 1 mu, a total construction area of10.4 million square meters, and 3,459 faculty members. There are 25 colleges (departments), with 102 undergraduate majors, 14 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 1 one first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 30 first-class disciplines authorized by master degrees and 19 first-class disciplines authorized by master degrees. Crop science has been selected as a national "first-class construction discipline".

South China Agricultural University, formerly known as Guangdong Agricultural Experimental Field and Agricultural Workshop, was founded in 1909. [2] 1952 The Agricultural College of Sun Yat-sen University and the Agricultural College of Lingnan University merged with the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine and the Department of Pests and Diseases of Guangxi University to form South China Agricultural College. 1984 was renamed as South China Agricultural University.
