Henan Tourism Vocational College has no preparatory classes. Schools offering preparatory classes include zhengzhou institute of aeronautical industry management, henan university of economics and law, Henan Urban Construction College, Henan Normal University, Xuchang University, Luoyang Normal University, nanyang normal College and Nanyang Institute of Technology.

Preparatory classes belong to pre-university education. Generally, senior three graduates study in the preparatory course for about one year to adapt to the learning style of the university. However, most of the preparatory courses in domestic universities are studied in designated colleges. After completing the one-year preparatory course, ordinary students decide whether they can enter the undergraduate stage of the selected institution according to their grades, otherwise they will enter the junior college stage of the institution. It should be pointed out that only minority candidates can attend preparatory classes.
