The School of Electronic Science and Engineering mainly studies various electronic information technologies, including information extraction, processing, transmission and application. There are four undergraduate majors: electronic information science and technology, communication engineering, microelectronics technology and biomedical engineering.
Electronic information science and technology specialty is based on three disciplines: circuit and system, signal and information processing, radio physics and superconducting electronics research institute. The major of communication engineering is based on the discipline of communication and information system and the College of Communication Technology. Microelectronics specialty is based on the State Key Discipline of Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics and Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Information Functional Materials. It is also suitable for high-tech enterprises and chip design and manufacturing companies to engage in technology development, applied research and management. Main courses: semiconductor physics, semiconductor device physics, integrated circuit design principle, microelectronics technology, photoelectric devices and technology, microprocessor and embedded system.
Based on the Institute of Biomedical Electronic Engineering and the Institute of Acoustics, the specialty of Biomedical Engineering aims to train senior professionals engaged in biomedical engineering scientific research and medical device development and technology development in the electronic, information and computer industries. The main courses are: biomedical electronics, physiology, digital image processing, biomedical engineering experiments, university biology, medical imaging principles and so on.
