Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, founded in Yanshan and developed in Daxing, is an institution of higher learning with distinctive engineering practice characteristics, which focuses on engineering, combines engineering, science, management, economics and literature, and has a coordinated development of multidisciplinary infiltration.
The school covers an area of 449 mu, with a building area of 6.5438+0.8 million square meters. At present, there are 10 teaching colleges (departments), 25 undergraduate majors, more than 6,700 undergraduates, 150 doctoral and master students, and 1500 adult continuing education students. There are more than 770 faculty members in the school, including 47 full-time teachers1person, and 84% full-time teachers with master's degree or above. Min Enze, an academician of the two academies, is a tenured professor, and Tang Benzhong is a lecture professor.

It is the first batch of pilot schools of "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, the first batch of pilot schools of CDIO engineering education reform, the national Industry-University-Research cooperative education experimental base, the national-level "Return Project" talent training mode innovation experimental area for electromechanical undergraduate training, and the high-level athletes enrollment qualification school. It is also an innovative experimental area for the talent training mode of Beijing-level high-level applied universities. The school has three national specialties, five Beijing specialties, three Beijing-level off-campus talent training bases and three Beijing experimental teaching demonstration centers, and won the second prize of national educational reform achievement on 20 10.
Based in Beijing and facing the whole country, the school serves the petroleum and petrochemical industry, emerging energy industry and regional economic and social development, develops discipline construction around energy as the main line, and forms characteristics in energy engineering equipment, clean energy chemicals, energy economic management and other fields. There are 4 key construction disciplines in Beijing, 3 key laboratories in Beijing, and Beijing University 1 Engineering Research Center.
The school has established in-depth strategic cooperative relations with Beijing Daxing District Government and Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical Company, built a cooperative talent training base in Industry-University-Research with more than 100 enterprises and institutions, and established stable cooperative relations with more than100 foreign universities such as the United States, Britain, France and Norway.
