Guangxi Medical University, located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which is known as the "Greentown", has been selected as one of the national "Basic Capacity Building Projects for Universities in the Midwest" and "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Plan". It is one of the 22 medical colleges established earlier in China, one of the first 30 colleges approved by the Ministry of Education to recruit international students majoring in clinical medicine (all taught in English), and one of the first eight medical colleges in China to recruit foreign students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan (overseas Chinese). It is a key university in Guangxi Province with the characteristics and advantages of medicine and the coordinated development of science, engineering, literature, management, law and other medical related disciplines.
