Located in Luoyang City, Henan Province, Henan University of Science and Technology (HAUST) is a university jointly founded by the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the People's Government of Henan Province.

School history:
The school 1952 was established in Beijing, the capital. 1956, in order to meet the needs of the construction and layout of the national industrial base, it was moved to Luoyang, and later renamed Luoyang Institute of Technology, which belongs to the Ministry of Machinery Industry.
1998, transferred to Henan province for management. In 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the Henan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government merged Luoyang Institute of Technology, Luoyang Medical College and Luoyang Agricultural College to form Henan University of Science and Technology.
