Zhejiang A&F University is the only provincial agricultural and forestry university in Zhejiang Province, approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the State Forestry Administration, and the second batch of provincial key construction universities. 1958 was founded as Tianmu Forestry College, 1966 was renamed as Zhejiang Forestry College,1970 merged with Zhejiang Agricultural University in July, 1979 resumed running independently in February, and Tianmu College of Zhejiang A&F University was founded in 2000 (now Jiyang College of Zhejiang A&F University)
