The predecessor of Jieyang Campus of Guangdong University of Technology is Guangdong Institute of Technology (to be established). In March, 20021,the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, Jieyang Municipal People's Government and Guangdong University of Technology signed an agreement, which made it clear that Jieyang Campus as a whole was under the jurisdiction of Guangdong University of Technology.

Jieyang Campus is located in Yuedong New Town, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, with a planned area of 1984 mu and a total construction area of about 630,000 square meters. It will be built in four phases, with a long-term school scale of 20,000 students. Jieyang Campus was completed in the autumn of 20021year, and it is a part of Guangdong University of Technology.

Guangdong University of Technology Jieyang Campus Department Setup;

The college plans to enroll 1 10,000 students and 5438+0 students for the first time in 2026, covering six majors: computer science and technology, electronic information engineering, mechanical and electronic engineering, applied chemistry, electrical engineering and its automation, and e-commerce. By 2024, the college will offer 27 majors, covering five disciplines of science, engineering, management, economics and art, with a school scale of 5,000 students.

Guangdong University of Technology Jieyang Campus started construction;

On March 5th, the signing ceremony of the agreement on the construction of Jieyang Campus of Guangdong University of Technology was held in Guangdong Provincial Government. Vice Governor of Guangdong Province Dimon, Director of Provincial Education Department Jing Lihu and Secretary of Jieyang Municipal Party Committee Cai attended the ceremony. Jing Lihu, Director of Guangdong Provincial Education Department, Qiu Xueqing, President of Guangdong University of Technology, and Zhang Ke, Mayor of Jieyang City signed the working agreement on behalf of Guangdong Provincial Education Department, the school and Jieyang Municipal People's Government respectively.

The construction of Jieyang Campus of Guangdong University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as Guanggong) is an important work arrangement to implement the plan of the provincial party committee and the provincial government to build a new undergraduate campus in Jieyang, fill the shortcomings of the development of higher education in eastern Guangdong, and realize the full coverage of 2 1 prefecture-level listed undergraduate colleges in the province.

The campus is located in Yuedong New Town, Jieyang City, with a planned total area of 65,438+0,984 mu. It is planned and constructed in four phases, with a long-term school scale of 20,000 students. The first phase of the planned campus will meet the needs of enrolling 5,000 students this fall and the first phase.
