Now there are schools that train national talents. Tsinghua University Computer Science Experimental Class (Yao Ban) is a school that trains national talents. Yao Ban was founded by Mr Yao Qizhi in 2005. So far, he is the only person from China who won the Nobel Prize in Computer Science. The people who can enter Yao Ban are not the top candidates in the college entrance examination in all provinces, nor the champions in the top competitions in the whole country and even in the world. Only about 50 people are recruited every year in the whole country. And no one who graduated from it is mediocre. For example, the face recognition system we are using now was designed by students in Yao Ban.
