1, South China University of Technology
Referred to as "South China University of Technology", it is located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and is a national key university determined by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guangdong Province. Ranked among the national "double first-class", "2 1 1 project" and "985 project", and was selected into the discipline innovation and intelligence introduction plan and excellent engineer education and training plan of colleges and universities.
The first batch of "Future Technical Colleges" are the scholarship institutions for overseas students from China government, the demonstration base for studying in China from the Ministry of Education, and the first batch of scientific and technological achievements transformation and technology transfer bases in colleges and universities.
2. Teachers.
As of July 20 18, South China University of Technology has 4,503 faculty members, including 242 full-time teachers, 3 academicians of China Academy of Sciences (including 8 double-hired academicians) and 6 academicians of China Academy of Engineering (including 10 double-hired academicians). Postgraduate tutors 1934 (including 680 doctoral tutors).
3. Scientific research achievements
At the 15th China Patent Awards Conference held in Beijing, South China University of Technology won the China Patent Excellence Award for three patents: Remote Control Method and System for Terminal Environmental Temperature and Cold Source Load of Central Air Conditioner, Single Longitudinal Mode Fiber Laser with Low Noise, Narrow Linewidth and High Power, and Multi-stage Drawing Manufacturing Method for Micro-grooved Tube.
