Our school has been doing similar things for more than a year. What is the effect after implementation? Seriously, I personally think that this method seems to be effective, but in fact it has no fundamental effect. In other words, it treats the symptoms rather than the root cause.
Our school is a higher vocational college, and students play more mobile phones in class. At first, the school encouraged students to take the initiative to put away their mobile phones in class and concentrate on listening. Later, it was gradually extended to the management of mobile phone bags in each class. Individual departments asked the class teacher to take photos of students' mobile phone bags before class every day, and urged students to hand in their mobile phones in class.
For some students, they used to secretly play mobile phones in class, but now they can't play. What should I do? A mobile phone case or a second-hand mobile phone can solve their troubles.
Or individual students say that my mobile phone is a certain model of Apple. What if I drop it? I thought in my mind, alas, I can't afford this salary, so should I pay it?
Most students still handed it in, but the class effect was not good. The students in class are always those. It doesn't matter whether they accept mobile phones or not. There are more people talking, eating and sleeping in the mirror in class. As for those who do homework in other subjects and read other books in class, I am very grateful, because this will not cause me any trouble.
The school will often check classes, take photos when students see bad behaviors such as playing mobile phones and sleeping in class, and inform the classroom teachers who are in class.
I may be a poor teacher. I want to listen carefully, and at the same time, I want to observe whether students sleep and play mobile phones like thieves and stop them in time. I can't do it! So there was a time when I was particularly anxious, especially afraid of being informed. The pressure flooded my head like a river and I felt unable to breathe.
So I went to read professional books on pedagogy and psychology, and asked students about the management of mobile phone classrooms in my spare time.
Students' behaviors such as playing mobile phones and sleeping in class are mainly unwilling to attend class. There are three reasons: first, the students themselves; Second, the teacher's reasons; Third, hardware conditions or policies.
Students' own reasons: 1. Students' own habits. Our students are all students in vocational colleges, and they are basically adults. They have formed inherent study habits, and many students have poor study ability, habits and self-control. It is difficult for adults to change their inherent habits without relying on their own perseverance and only relying on the preaching of university teachers.
Sometimes if you don't listen, you will be distracted in class. Some students, in particular, are biased in their learning attitudes and even have angry behaviors, and do not intend to attend classes. So for those who pretend to sleep, our teacher will never wake him up.
2. Individual students are not feeling well, or there are problems at home, which will affect their mood and make them feel bad in class.
3. Students are not interested in the teaching content. Assumption: the content of the teacher's lecture conforms to the syllabus, and there is no deviation in the content of the lecture. Reason: (1) The course is difficult. Once students don't understand and don't want to work hard, it's easy for them to be unwilling to attend classes. For example, our core professional course "Railway Traffic Organization" is very difficult, and students need time and energy to learn it.
(2) The course is not difficult, but the content is particularly boring. It's ok for teachers to be funny, but there is no guarantee that all teachers will be like talk show hosts, so students don't necessarily like listening to lectures. For example, xxx regulations.
(3) This course is not a core professional course. If it is a course that students don't approve but have to take, students may do other things in class.
Teacher's reason: 1. (Assuming that the content of the teacher's lecture conforms to the teaching syllabus, the class will be taught according to the teaching plan). Young teachers may not grasp the knowledge points, classroom rhythm (interaction, rest) and lecture style well because of their lack of experience.
2. Teaching methods do not pay attention to teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. This can happen to both old and young teachers. In the process of teaching, the teaching method is not suitable for the students in this class.
3. (The teacher didn't follow the syllabus and didn't follow the teaching plan) In the teaching process, there were teaching mistakes. Students will think that teachers themselves don't know how to teach.
4. Students are not satisfied with the teacher's own habits or behaviors, and there will be learning conflicts.
Hardware condition or policy: 1. The hardware condition is not good. For example, some courses need supporting laboratories or training venues, but the school does not provide corresponding conditions, which will affect students' enthusiasm and acceptance.
2. The policies issued by the school lack humanization, and some students have resistance, which greatly affects the class effect.
Many schools regard mobile phones as a scourge, and simple and rude control can only produce short-term benefits. Over time, it will inevitably repeat the same mistakes and even bring other problems. It is better to calm down and seriously consider the real demands of students and teachers. Understand the real reasons why students are unwilling to attend classes, and then give different solutions for different reasons. We are all adults. We won't tell you the advantages and disadvantages of playing mobile phone to sleep, but we just take rough control. This method won't work. As educators in colleges and universities, we are more guides than kindergarten aunts, no matter what.
A mobile phone is just a tool, not a toy. Everyone * * * encourages.
