Aesthetic principle is a basic theoretical course for language and literature majors. The immaturity of aesthetics discipline construction has brought some difficulties to discipline teaching. Through several years of teaching practice, I think the following basic principles should be grasped in the teaching of aesthetic principles.
The aesthetics of open principle is a young frontier discipline that studies human aesthetic practice from different angles such as philosophy, sociology, anthropology, physiology, psychology and art. Many problems are still being explored, and even some fundamental problems such as the orientation of the starting point and destination of aesthetic research, the definition of aesthetic categories and propositions, and the construction of aesthetic theoretical system have not been solved scientifically. Therefore, it embodies the outstanding development characteristics. In teaching, we should not confine ourselves to instilling the final conclusion in the textbook.
Through the study of Aesthetic Principles, students can systematically understand and master the basic theories and knowledge of aesthetics, the basic characteristics and problems of aesthetics, the structure and characteristics of aesthetic activities, and the types or forms of beauty. Understand the cultural implication of beauty and the anthropological origin and cosmological basis of aesthetic activities, so as to enhance students' aesthetic cultivation and develop humanistic wisdom.
Establish a healthy aesthetic view, correctly analyze various literary phenomena at home and abroad, and lay a preliminary theoretical foundation for students to study other literary courses and engage in various social work. It is worth noting that although aesthetics is a course of Chinese department, strictly speaking, the subject nature of aesthetics belongs to philosophy. In other words, aesthetics, like philosophy in essence, faces an eternal and unsolvable problem, which is always in the kingdom of problems.
Without problems, there is no aesthetics, which is the confusion and charm of aesthetics. Therefore, learning aesthetics should have "problem consciousness", link aesthetic problems with the history of aesthetics at home and abroad, and advocate the hermeneutic thinking method of "communication" and "dialogue", because aesthetic teaching is not only to impart knowledge, but more importantly to open students' humanistic wisdom.
