2. Introduction of Xinjiang Institute of Finance
Xinjiang Finance College (Finance College &; Economics), located in Urumqi, Xinjiang, is an ordinary institution of higher learning organized by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is one of the first demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education and one of the key construction universities in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The school is supported by China Renmin University and Central University of Finance and Economics.
The school was formerly a training course for cadres of Xinjiang Provincial People's Government established by 1950. 1959 upgraded to Xinjiang Institute of Finance and Economics; 1962 transformed into Xinjiang Finance and Trade School; 1980 xinjiang university of finance was restored with the approval of the State Council. In 2000, xinjiang university of finance merged with Xinjiang Economic Management Cadre College and Xinjiang Finance and Taxation School to form a new xinjiang university of finance. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2007, it was renamed Xinjiang Finance College.
