The Origin of Tsinghua University Li Wenzheng Library
Tsinghua University Library was donated by a famous industrialist in China and chairman of the board of directors of Indonesian Lippo Group. Academician of China Academy of Engineering and Professor of Tsinghua University Department of Architecture are in charge of the design. The foundation stone was laid in April of 20 1 1 year, and the construction was officially started in February of 20 13.

The design scheme fully considers the protection of cultural relics and environment. The roof is combined with flat slope, and the brick wall exterior wall does not exceed the current library in volume and height, which realizes the coordination and unity of the overall style and the architectural environment. Li Wenzheng Pavilion is adjacent to Tsinghua University Library Phase III (Yifu Building) in the south, playground in the west, Xinzhai in the north and L-shaped entrance courtyard surrounded by Library Phase III in the east, with a land area of 10600 square meters and a total construction area of 15938 square meters, with 5 floors above ground and 2 floors underground.

Li Wenzheng Pavilion is expected to collect 6.5438+0.2 million books, provide more than 800 reading seats, and provide more intimate and convenient services. Li Wenzheng Library and the original three-phase project of the library form a comprehensive, multifunctional, modern and first-class university library, and together with * * * form the main library in Tsinghua University library system, which will create a warmer and more attractive learning, research and communication environment for all teachers and students, and improve and promote the further development of Tsinghua University Library.
