What about the journalism graduate students in Nanjing University?
School of Journalism and Communication, Nanjing University, is a relatively young department among the liberal arts departments of Nantah (founded in 1992, 2003), which was born out of the Chinese Department of Nanjing University (now known as the College of Literature). Among its teaching staff, the earliest professor's academic background is also Chinese major. After that, the academic composition of a group of young teachers in Xin Chuan Yuan began to be diversified, such as some from sociology and some from legal background. The diverse academic background makes the academic research of NTU New Media College have the momentum of letting a hundred flowers blossom.

Although NTU New Media College didn't get a doctorate, it was a weakness, but it still ranked seventh in the academic evaluation of the Degree Center of the Ministry of Education in 2007-2009. At present, there are four doctoral supervisors in the New Media College who do not have doctoral degrees, namely: Professor Ding Baiquan and Professor Pan Zhichang, doctoral supervisors affiliated to the Social College; Professor Du Junfei and Professor Zheng Xin, doctoral supervisors of the School of Government Administration.

The research level of NTU New Media College is also quite excellent. The project "Research on the Influence of Tibetan News Media in China" recently commissioned by the National Social Science Fund is an example: it is rare for the National Social Science Planning Office to set up a special commissioned project in the history of Nanjing University.

Speaking of the research characteristics of NTU New Communication College, I personally think there are several points: ① Professor Du Junfei is a leading figure in network communication research; (2) Professor Ding Baiquan is a leading figure in the basic theory research of journalism. In addition, Nantah's advertising is also very good, which is closely related to the advertising industry.

The Media Experimental Teaching Center of NTU New Media College is a national experimental teaching demonstration center. At the same time, Xinchuan College is also an early college with an independent office building (Fei Yimin Building) among liberal arts departments.

New Media College not only has excellent hardware facilities, but also attaches great importance to students' practical training. Under the leadership of professors, the student journalists' group of NTU New Media College has produced many influential works (such as "Walking the Huaihe River" investigation and practice activities). Although NTU New Media College is young, it has a long history, so a number of outstanding figures in the media industry have emerged among NTU graduates. For example, among NTU alumni in Beijing, there are Zhu Jingruo (President of Beijing Branch of People's Daily), Yuan Xiang (Director of Reporter Department of Guangming Daily), Xu Bu (President of People's Pictorial), Zhu Qing (President of Guangming Daily Publishing House), Wang Jian (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of china securities journal) and Huang Xiaoyan. Among the media in Jiangsu, Guangdong and other places, many masters of Nantah alumni (including Xin Chuanyuan) have occupied a high position in the media industry.

At the same time, NTU New Media College also has a group of young and middle-aged backbone teachers who are determined to forge ahead. The most famous representative is Professor Du Junfei, President of China Network Communication Society. NTU New Media College is also the affiliated unit of China Network Communication Society.

Speaking of the employment problem of NTU New Media College, from a nationwide perspective, the demand for journalism has not continued to expand because all schools have set up journalism majors and the enrollment scale has also expanded greatly. Therefore, at present, the demand for journalism graduates has exceeded the demand. Therefore, the employment of NTU New Communication College is definitely not as good as that of NTU Business School, NTU Computer Department and NTU Software College, which is caused by different professional needs.

But what is certain is that NTU New Media College's employment is first-class among similar colleges and universities in China, and there is no doubt that it ranks first in the competitiveness of Jiangsu media industry.

Graduates majoring in journalism and communication have diverse employment opportunities. Of course, the most important bank is the media industry (including broadcasting, newspapers, internet, publishing and advertising industries), but the salary and treatment of the media industry in different regions are different, and the salary and treatment of different media are also different. In addition to being a reporter, editor and planner in the media industry, I also work as a secretary in some large enterprises and a civil servant in state organs (this is an exam, and I will take it when I enter).

To digress: I personally think that the work in the media industry is demanding, relatively hard and challenging. If the media industry is not suitable for comfort and stability, then you should choose to take an examination of civil servants or work as a clerk in state-owned enterprises.
