In order to meet the needs of cultivating high-quality innovative talents, attract outstanding doctoral students and improve the quality of doctoral education, according to the spirit of the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education and the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, combined with the reality of our school, the following provisions are made on the continuing training of postgraduate students.

Basic conditions and examination and approval for postgraduate and doctoral programs and specialties.

(1) The disciplines and majors applying for continuing postgraduate studies should be those with the right to confer doctoral degrees in our university.

(2) Doctoral degree conferring disciplines for postgraduate and doctoral research should have strong faculty, good conditions for postgraduate study and scientific research training, and a complete curriculum system and perfect management system have been established from master students to doctoral students.

(3) Doctoral degree awarding disciplines and majors to be carried out for postgraduate study can only be carried out after an application is made by the postgraduate training unit and approved by the degree evaluation sub-committee of the training unit and reported to the graduate school for approval.

Second, the candidates for the postgraduate entrance examination are determined

(1) A candidate must meet the following conditions:

1, full-time graduate, bachelor degree;

2. Take the national unified entrance examination for postgraduate students with excellent results, or recommend postgraduate students who are exempt from the examination;

3. Pass CET-6 (or the new scoring method is not less than 425 points) or the score of the first foreign language course for graduate students is not less than 70 points;

4. direction. The training of graduate students entrusted by the unit needs orientation, and the personnel department of the entrusted training unit agrees with the written opinions of master's and doctoral degrees.

(2) Postgraduate candidates with master's degrees and doctoral degrees can be determined at the time of postgraduate enrollment. Before the second interview, the applicant shall submit a written application to the training unit, and the training unit shall evaluate and determine the list of master's and doctoral students according to the number of master's and doctoral students' training plans issued by the school in that year. Graduate students who are identified as master's or doctoral students should sign corresponding agreements.

Candidates for postgraduate entrance examination can also be determined when the postgraduate qualification examination is held one year after the master's entrance.

Three, the basic requirements of master's and doctoral programs

(a) the disciplines and majors to carry out postgraduate training for master's and doctoral degrees shall, according to the basic requirements of the school for doctoral and master's degree training and these Provisions, formulate the postgraduate training plan for this major or first-class discipline. The training plan should mainly include: training objectives, study years, curriculum and credit requirements, qualification examination, comprehensive ability training, degree thesis and grade requirements, etc. Postgraduate training programs with master's and doctoral degrees should be reported to the graduate school for approval.

(2) The duration of postgraduate continuing education is five years.

(3) The training of master's and doctoral students is divided into two stages.

The first stage is mainly course study, which lasts for one and a half years, and the longest is no more than two years. The qualification examination will be held at the end of the third semester (see the fourth part for details). Postgraduates who have passed the qualification examination will be transferred to doctoral training from the fifth semester.

The second stage, mainly scientific research and writing doctoral thesis, lasts for three years. The doctoral thesis begins in the fifth semester.

Fourth, the postgraduate qualification examination

(1) organization, leadership and schedule

Each training unit should set up a special leading group headed by the dean in charge of degree and postgraduate education; The qualification examination team is composed of a first-class discipline or two disciplines. The qualification examination team is composed of at least 5 professors in this discipline and related disciplines, including at least 3 doctoral supervisors, and the leader of the qualification examination team is a doctoral supervisor. The composition of the qualification examination team must be approved by the dean of the unit in charge of degree and postgraduate education.

The qualification examination time is the end of the third semester after the postgraduate entrance.

(2) Contents and methods of qualification examination.

When enrolling students, it is determined to directly take the qualification examination for master's and doctoral students, and on the basis of the qualification examination, the master's and doctoral students will be screened and diverted, and those who pass the examination will become doctoral students in the fifth semester and enjoy doctoral treatment; Those who fail the qualification examination are still trained as master students.

Those who are not confirmed as graduate students at the time of enrollment shall apply by themselves, be recommended and approved by the tutor, and participate in the qualification examination after passing the examination of the training unit.

Qualification examination includes political and ideological assessment and comprehensive level assessment.

1, political and ideological assessment: make a realistic evaluation of graduate students' usual ideological performance, moral quality and organizational discipline, and write comments.

2. Comprehensive level assessment: including English level, basic theoretical knowledge and innovation ability, which are scored with a percentage system respectively, and comprehensive level assessment comments are written. The comprehensive level assessment method can be written test, oral test or a combination of written test and oral test (the specific method is proposed by the assessment team and agreed by the dean in charge of degree and postgraduate education).

According to the usual ideological and political performance, qualification examination, work ability and development potential of continuing to study for graduate students, the leading group of each training unit determines the list of graduate students who are transferred to doctoral training according to the number of transfer plans allocated by the school.

(3) Determination of the post-doctoral training category.

Whether the master students are non-oriented graduate students in the national plan, oriented graduate students in the national plan, graduate students entrusted by the unit or graduate students entrusted by the Shandong provincial government, they need to re-determine the training category after transferring to the doctoral stage.

(4) Those who give up pursuing a doctoral degree after entering the doctoral stage shall be treated as doctoral students; Those who have completed the courses specified in the training plan and passed the examination, but failed in the thesis defense, will be allowed to complete their studies and be issued a doctoral degree certificate.

If the dissertation does not reach the level of doctoral dissertation, you can apply for a master's degree.
