In 2023, Northwestern Polytechnical University ranked 28th in the latest national ranking and 2nd in Shaanxi Province. Before Northwestern Polytechnical University in Shaanxi Province, xi Jiaotong University (the first in the province 1), followed by xidian university (the third in the province).
Northwestern Polytechnical University (hereinafter referred to as Xigong University), located in Xi City, Shaanxi Province, is a multi-disciplinary, research-oriented and open university featuring the development of personnel training and scientific research in the fields of aviation, aerospace and navigation. It is a national "first-class university" construction university (Class A) and belongs to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The school 1960 was identified as a national key university by the State Council, and both the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan were listed as one of the key universities in the State Council 15. 1995 the first batch entered "21/project" and 200 1 entered "985".
