1985, Sun Xiaomei was admitted to the Broadcasting Department of Beijing Broadcasting Institute.

1989 entered CCTV, and presided over "Next Week Screen" and "Program Preview" columns. During this period, he made a guest appearance in CCTV youth program "Between Heaven and Earth", literary program "Rotating Stage", animation show "Animation City" and other columns, as well as major activities inside and outside Taiwan.

1993, Sun Xiaomei and her TV crew went to Taiwan Province province to interview and shoot, and as the first host of CCTV to interview and shoot TV programs in Taiwan Province province, they caused a sensation in Bao Dao. In the same year, he went to Singapore to perform with Galaxy Children's Art Troupe.

1994 published his first solo album "Ask softly, sing softly". The title song "Ask Gently, Sing Gently" was written by myself and once topped the song charts. In the same year, he went to Singapore to perform with China Broadcasting Art Troupe. During the period of 1995, he went to Australia to perform with the media youth delegation of CCTV.
