Nanjing University, referred to as "Nanda", is located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and the Central Government of People's Republic of China (PRC). Ranked among the national "double first-class", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project" key construction universities. The nine schools' alliance (C9), China University Presidents' Association, Pacific Rim University Alliance and 2/were selected for the Everest Plan, Strong Foundation Plan,11Plan and 201Plan respectively.
Nanjing University was founded in 1902 Sanjiang Normal School. After that, it was renamed Nanjing University on 1950 after historical periods such as Liangjiang Normal University, Nanjing Higher Normal University, National Southeast University and National Central University. 1952, after adjusting some departments, it merged with the College of Arts and Sciences of Jinling University founded by 1888 and was still named Nanjing University. The school site was moved from Sipailou to the original site of Jinling University in Gulou. In 2006, the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province signed an agreement on key construction of Nanjing University. 20 1 1 The Ministry of Education signed an agreement with Jiangsu Province to continue to focus on the construction of Nanjing University.
As of May 2022, the school has four campuses and 33 departments, with undergraduate students 13350, graduate students 172065438, doctoral students 8385 and international students1kloc-0/7. At present, there are 8 first-class disciplines, two disciplines 13 national key disciplines, "double first-class" construction disciplines 16, 89 undergraduate disciplines, 42 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 5 professional doctoral degrees authorized by two disciplines 1 one, 4 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degrees and 28 professional master's degrees authorized by postdoctoral doctors.
