East China Normal University is very good. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is also a national key construction university in "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project".

As the first socialist normal university established after the founding of New China, the school has always adhered to the lofty university ideal of "creation of wisdom, melting of character and development of nation and society", adhered to the school motto spirit of "seeking truth from facts and being a teacher", comprehensively and thoroughly implemented the party's educational policy and various decision-making arrangements, and fulfilled the fundamental task of educating people for the party and the country.

The school pays attention to international cooperation and exchange;

It has successively established close cooperative relations with three French normal universities, namely Lyon Normal University, new york University, University of Virginia, University of British Columbia, Moscow lomonosov National University, Peter the Great Institute of Technology in St. Petersburg and Tokyo University, and signed academic cooperation and exchange agreements with more than 300 universities and scientific research institutions around the world.

East China Normal University was founded on June 195 1 month 1 6, and transferred to some departments of Daxia University (1924) and Guanghua University (1925).

1972 merged with Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Institute of Physical Education and other institutions and changed its name to Shanghai Normal University. 1980 Restore the name of East China Normal University. 1997- 1998, Shanghai Preschool Teachers College, Shanghai Education College and Shanghai Second Education College merged successively.
