Xi 'an University of Technology (English name: Xi University of Technology) was established in May 2005 1 0949. Its predecessor was Shaanxi Institute of Machinery, which was formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Machinery and Shaanxi University of Technology in June 1972. /kloc-in June, 2000, it was renamed as Xi University of Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and now it has three campuses: Jinhua, Qujiang and Lianzi. There is 15 college, physical education department and teaching and research section of ideological and political theory course. It is one of the national key universities, the first batch of "excellent plan" universities by the Ministry of Education and the key universities in Shaanxi Province. Xi University of Technology is one of the 24 universities expanded by the President's Association of China Graduate School. It has first-class national key disciplines, national key laboratories, national engineering research centers and university science parks. On 20 12, Xi university of technology was selected as the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of the Ministry of education.

Xi University of Architecture and Technology, located in the historical and cultural city of Xi, is one of the famous "Old Eight Schools of Architecture" in China. It is recognized as one of the most influential civil engineering colleges in China and a key university directly under the Ministry of Metallurgy of People's Republic of China (PRC).
