Xi University of Architecture and Technology, located in the historical and cultural city of Xi, is one of the famous "Old Eight Schools of Architecture" in China. It is recognized as one of the most influential civil engineering colleges in China and a key university directly under the Ministry of Metallurgy of People's Republic of China (PRC). During the third adjustment of colleges and universities in China from 65438 to 0956, the four departments of architecture, civil engineering and municipal administration of Northeast Institute of Technology, Northwest Institute of Technology, Qingdao Institute of Technology and Sunan Institute of Technology merged and were renamed Xi 'an Institute of Architecture and Engineering. 1959 and 1963 were renamed Xi 'an Institute of Metallurgy and Xi 'an Institute of Metallurgy and Architecture. 1994 was renamed as Xi University of Architecture and Technology with the approval of the former State Education Commission. 20 1 1 Graduate students start school in September.
