Datong University in Shanxi, referred to as Datong University for short, is an applied multidisciplinary university in Shanxi Province. It is a pilot university for excellent doctoral education and training programs. In March 2006, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was formed by the merger of the former Yanbei Normal College, Datong Medical College, Datong Vocational and Technical College and Shanxi Industrial Vocational and Technical College. The history of running a school can be traced back to the 1950s. 20 17 12 13, Shanxi Provincial Department of Education and Datong Municipal People's Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build Datong University. The school is located in Datong, a famous historical and cultural city, and is divided into two campuses. Yudong Campus is located in Wenying Lake, Yudong New District, Datong City, and Wang Xinping Campus is located in Pingquan Road, Datong Mining Area.
