Anhui Engineering University is a provincial multi-disciplinary institution of higher learning and a key construction institution in Anhui Province. It is the construction institution of the national central and western university basic capacity building project (Phase II), located in Wuhu, a national open city. The school started from Anhui Private Senior Vocational School 1935, and was renamed as Anhui Engineering University on 20 10 after the running stages of Wuhu Motor Manufacturing School (formerly under the Ministry of Machinery Industry), Wuhu Machinery School, Anhui Electromechanical Vocational and Technical College and Anhui Engineering and Technical College.
20 15 was approved as the first batch of comprehensive reform pilot colleges in Anhui province; 20 16 was approved as a pilot unit for the reform of innovation autonomy of colleges and universities in Anhui province; And in 20 19, it was approved as a doctoral degree awarding unit in Anhui province.
