1, Suzhou Railway Normal University
Suzhou Railway Teachers College was established on May 5, 1980 with the approval of the State Council. It is the only higher normal school directly under the Ministry of Railways. It mainly trains secondary education talents for railway system, on-the-job principals and teachers, and undertakes the task of training all kinds of talents for the Ministry of Railways, such as secretarial files, news propaganda and economic management.
The school is located in Suzhou, a famous historical and cultural city in the world, with a total area of about 360 mu, including 288 mu of Fangshangshan Headquarters and 69 mu of Pingmen Campus. Campus architecture has a strong Jiangnan garden style and a beautiful and pleasant environment. It is one of the "National 300 Greening Units" and was awarded the title of "Garden Campus" in Jiangsu Province in July. 1995.
The school runs schools in Fangshangshan Headquarters and Hepingmen Branch. During the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" period, 60,000 square meters of the project has been put into use, including chemistry, physics, biology and geography experimental buildings and computer and audio-visual teaching experimental buildings. The 6,000-square-meter library can be used by about 2,000 people, with more than 300,000 books and more than 500 Chinese and foreign periodicals/kloc-0.
Pingmen branch has foreign languages department, affiliated middle school, science and technology development company (subordinate school-run factory, architectural design room, guest house) and so on. An operating mechanism integrating teaching, scientific and technological development and social services has been initially formed.
2. Suzhou Higher Preschool Normal School
Suzhou Preschool Teachers College (now renamed Suzhou Preschool Teachers College (to be determined)) was founded in 1976. It is a five-year normal school that trains preschool teachers with junior college education.
The school is located at No.2 Garden Road, Xiangcheng District. There are three affiliated kindergartens: Flower Kindergarten, Education Kindergarten and Guxiangyuan Kindergarten. There are more than 0/60 faculty members and nearly 0/600 students. The school was once located in Huqiu Scenic Area, the first scenic spot in Wuzhong.
The campus was built in the Qianlong period and named Taying Garden. Now it has been transformed into Wenzhaozhi (grandson of Wen Zhiming) villa, Bai Juyi ancestral hall and Li Hongzhang ancestral hall.
As a cultural relic protection unit in Suzhou, the campus is full of garden charm. Elegant architecture, ancient and famous trees, bridges and flowing water, rockery pavilions, melodious piano sounds and dances have formed a unique landscape, which can be described as "a real mountain, a real water garden, a rockery, a fake water school, and a garden in the middle".
The new campus is located in Huayuan Road, Xiangcheng District, with a modern atmosphere.
3. Suzhou Institute of Education
Suzhou Institute of Education is an ordinary adult institution of higher learning approved by the State Council 1982, filed by the Ministry of Education and approved by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. It is a training base for primary and secondary school teachers in Suzhou.
The college covers an area of 62.3 mu with a total construction area of 3629 1㎡. The college library has more than 268,000 books and more than 400 computers.
The college now has 1 1 administrative departments, trade unions and youth league committees, including the Commission for Discipline Inspection, Party Office, College Office (including personnel), Academic Affairs Office, Training Office, Student Office, Security Office, Scientific Research Office (co-located), General Affairs Office (including finance), Library and Network Management Center.
There are 7 departments of Chinese, Mathematics, English, Social Sciences, Science Education, Information Technology, Art and Sports, and the Sino-German Labor and Technical Teacher Training Center, with a major of 15.
4. Suzhou Foreign Language Teachers College
1in the spring of 994, the people's government of Jiangsu Province approved the establishment of Soochow Foreign Language Normal School, which is the only foreign language professional normal school in the province. 1999, the school passed the standardized acceptance of running conditions of provincial normal schools with "excellent" grade.
In 2005, the school was successfully upgraded to Soochow Foreign Languages Higher Normal School in Jiangsu Province. The school has been rated as an advanced school of moral education in Jiangsu Province, a green school in Jiangsu Province, a civilized unit in Suzhou, the first batch of bilingual experimental schools in Suzhou, a demonstration school of educational informationization in Suzhou, and an advanced school of educational research in Suzhou.
5. Suzhou University
Suzhou University is located in the famous historical and cultural city of Suzhou. It is one of the first universities listed in the national "2 1 1 Project" and "20 1 1 Plan", and it is a "double-class" university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial Government.
Soochow University, formerly known as Soochow University (Soochow University, founded in 1900), is the first university in China to establish a modern university discipline system. It is the first university in China to establish a periodical, the first professional education in law (Anglo-American law) and the first postgraduate education.
1952, the College of Arts and Sciences of Suzhou University, the School of Culture and Education of Southern Jiangsu and the Department of Mathematics and Science of Jiangnan University merged to form Southern Jiangsu Normal University, which was renamed Jiangsu Normal University in the same year.
1982, the school was renamed Soochow University. Subsequently, Suzhou Sericulture Institute (1995), Suzhou Silk Vocational and Technical College (1997) and Suzhou Medical College (2000) were merged into Suzhou University.
